Earlier this year, Roda participated in preparing a list of issues for the alternative (shadow) reporting process for the Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Croatia is scheduled for its periodic review before the CRC in 2019.
This week, the CRC communicated its List of Issues prior to the submission of the combined fifth and sixth periodic reports of Croatia, which can be found below. We are happy to see that many of the issues brought up by the Coordination of Associations for Children have been included in the list of issues.
The Croatian Government must provide a written reply to the CRC by 30 June 2019, taking into account this list of issues and the CRC's 2014 recommendations (CRC/C/HRV/3-4). Roda and the Coordination of Associations for Children will continue to monitor the situation and participate in continued consultations and alternative (shadow) reporting procedures over the next few months.
